What this workshop is about

Design careers rarely follow a linear arc. They shift as your values evolve, as organisations change, and as new disciplines emerge. At certain moments you need to pause, step back, and reorient yourself. This workshop gives you the structure and space to do that work with depth and honesty.

Across the workshop you will explore your strengths, motivations, patterns, and working environments. You will define what kind of designer you want to become and map how to get there. By the end of the workshop, you will have a career direction that feels aligned with who you are now and who you are becoming.

The content is suitable for all career milestones: from grad to head of design.

Important prerequisite: The course fee includes a Gallup Strengths assessment, which you will need to have completed at least 2 days before the course. Once registered, we will email you a link and code to use.

Grant Show is a design and strategy leader with more than twenty years of experience helping people navigate career transitions with clarity and confidence. His work spans design craft, product thinking, organisational transformation, and guiding teams through change, and he has mentored designers at every stage.

As the founder and festival director of The Outlook, he brings a grounded, human approach that blends strategic insight with practical honesty. His facilitation focuses on helping individuals understand their strengths, articulate their direction, and make decisions that feel intentional and aligned with who they are becoming.
