Matthew Blode is an AI engineer at Linktree, building AI-powered experiences for more than 90 million creators and small businesses. He is a Melbourne-based product leader and engineer whose specialty is going zero to one.
He co-founded VenueSafe during COVID and took it from idea to acquisition by me&u in six months. He stayed on for two years, helped scale me&u to 15 million-plus users globally, and supported the US expansion from Austin, Texas.
He then co-founded Fingertip with Olly Hoffman and the founders of Catch and Menulog. Fingertip scaled to tens of thousands of small businesses across more than 100 countries before it was acquired by Linktree in 2025.
He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree (Asia, 2025), an OpenAI Codex Ambassador, a Startmate mentor, an Airtree Explorer, and a co-founder of VCMC, a Melbourne community for AI-native builders. On the side he ships the Blode Stack, a set of open-source tools including the Glide typeface, Blode UI, Blode Icons, and DiffHub.
