Call for workshops

A core part of The Outlook is creating spaces for practitioners to share skills and experience, learn from each other, and collectively advance design and product practice in Australia.

Workshop facilitation

There are many benefits to facilitating a workshop for DO25, such as professional development, visibility and recognition, networking with your peers, collaborating with others and expanding your own perspective.

In addition to be being free to facilitate, there’s also professional development, visibility and recognition, networking with your peers, collaborating with others and expanding your own perspective as you produce your content.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply to run a workshop or masterclass?

Anyone with expertise or passion in design or product thinking. We welcome designers, product managers, strategists, researchers, engineers, and other adjacent roles.

Are these paid gigs?

Facilitation is unpaid, but facilitators receive:

• A free ticket to Product or Design Outlook (limits apply)

• Reimbursement for reasonable material costs

• A dedicated experience manager to support you

• A thoughtfully curated gift bag

• Plenty of visibility, recognition, and community connection

Can I co-present with someone else?

Yes. Make sure all facilitators are listed and explain each person’s role in the session.

Friday April 25, 6PM AEDT

What do I need to submit?

• Name, contact, job title, and company

• A short bio + links to portfolio or online work

• Why you believe The Outlook is important to your discipline

• Any materials, case studies, or sample content

• Accessibility considerations for your session

Can someone help me prepare?

Yes. Each facilitator is assigned an experience manager that can help plan, refine, and run your session smoothly.

How long should sessions be?

Plan for 60–180 minutes. Be clear about your ideal duration and what structure works best.

How many people will be in each workshop?

Up to 30 people can be in a session.
