Bring a team or make one on the night, and compete across categories like design history, UX nightmares, and “did-they-really-approve-that-logo.” Prizes include DO25 tickets, lucky door wins, and questionable glory.

Part designer, part strategist, part stand-up—Rich Brophy brings energy, insight, and just the right amount of chaos to the mic.

With over a decade in UX, CX, research, and service design, Rich leads Blueegg’s design practice, working across high-stakes environments from government to Google. But before design? He was crafting punchlines, not prototypes.

Rich’s background in comedy makes him the perfect guide for the night—equal parts sharp facilitator and quick-witted host. Expect smart questions, smooth segues, and a few very questionable jokes.

Our evening event will be held at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, a unique venue blending heritage architecture with a modern, open-air atrium. Located in the heart of Melbourne at 629 Bourke Street, the space features soaring glass ceilings, lush hanging greenery, and ambient lighting—perfect for relaxed networking and vibrant conversation.
