Leadership that starts with you, and shapes what's next

As a product or design leader, you're solving complex problems and navigating ambiguity. Leading people in cross-functional environments demands emotional intelligence, influence without authority, and confidence in high-stakes moments.

This leadership immersive will help you to lead:

  • From within: Build self-awareness and emotional regulation.
  • With others: Influence across functions and navigate difficult conversations.
  • What's next: Embrace change and shift from executor to strategist.

Dale Carnegie brings over 100 years of applied leadership experience into their curriculum, and paired with our design and product leadership there's no better combination for you than our 3-day leadership immersive.

FAQs

If you have any further questions that aren’t answered here, please reach out to us at [email protected]

How many people are in each cohort?

We keep our cohorts intentionally small to ensure personalised attention and meaningful connections. Each cohort typically has 20 participants, allowing for intimate group discussions and hands-on coaching whilst maintaining diverse perspectives from various industries and experience levels.

Is any part of this course online?

No, this is entirely an in-person experience. The three-day immersive format is designed to create deep connections, facilitate real-time coaching, and provide hands-on practice that simply can't be replicated online. This intensive format allows for maximum engagement and immediate application of concepts.

What happens if I miss one of the three days?

Since this is a three-day immersive experience, each day builds upon the previous one. If you miss any portion of the course, we'd recommend deferring to the next available cohort to ensure you get the full benefit of the complete programme. We can't offer make-up sessions as the content is sequential and group dynamics are integral to the learning.

What's the daily schedule like for the three days?

Each day runs approximately 9am to 5pm with regular breaks, meals, and networking opportunities built in. Day 1 focuses on leading self, Day 2 on leading others, and Day 3 on leading what's next. The schedule balances presentations, small group work, individual reflection, and practical exercises throughout each day.

What level of leadership experience do I need?

This course is designed for emerging leaders, which includes both new managers and individual contributors aspiring to leadership roles. You don't need formal management experience, but you should be in a position where you influence others or lead projects. We've had successful participants ranging from senior designers to product managers to team leads.

Is this suitable for first-time managers?

Absolutely. The course specifically addresses the challenges of leading without authority and building influence through relationships rather than title. Many of our most enthusiastic participants are navigating their first leadership roles and finding their leadership voice.

Do I need to be currently in a leadership role?

No, but you should be in a position where leadership skills would be immediately applicable. This might be leading cross-functional projects, mentoring junior team members, or preparing for a leadership transition. The course is most valuable when you can practice the concepts in real-world situations.

Are meals provided during the three days?

Yes, all meals during the immersive are included in your course fee. This covers breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea each day, plus networking dinners. We cater for all dietary requirements—just let us know when you register.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

Yes, you'll receive a certificate of completion from both The Outlook and Dale Carnegie upon finishing the three-day programme. This recognises your completion of the intensive leadership development experience and can be added to your professional credentials.

What materials or resources do I get to keep?

You'll receive a comprehensive leadership toolkit including the frameworks covered during the course, assessment tools, templates, action planning worksheets, and recommended reading lists. All physical materials provided during the immersive are yours to keep and reference in your ongoing leadership development.

Do you offer ongoing support after the three days?

Yes, participants gain access to our alumni network and resources. We periodically host graduate events and provide opportunities to connect with other course alumni. We also offer optional follow-up coaching sessions at a discounted rate for participants who want to continue their leadership development journey.

What's included in the $3,495 course fee?

The fee covers the complete three-day immersive experience including all course content, materials, meals (breakfast, lunch, and networking dinners), certificate of completion, and access to alumni resources. The only additional costs would be your accommodation and travel to the venue if you're coming from out of town.
