Susan boasts over 40 years of experience in user experience design, having tackled an extensive range of challenges within the field. Throughout her illustrious career in both San Francisco and Sydney, she has practiced UX design in-house, founded and managed UX consultancies, mentored global project teams, and pioneered UX practices and cultures within various organizations. Notably, she has trained and launched the careers of over 550 UX professionals, employing a holistic, pragmatic, and people-focused approach rather than relying on standard formulas.

Recently, Susan launched Leapfrog Studio, a design agency that underscores her commitment to social good and the development of new UX designers. This agency provides affordable, high-quality services to social enterprises while offering emerging UX consultants the opportunity to hone their skills through practical, paid client engagements. Additionally, Susan continues to influence the industry through her boutique consultancy, OE Strategy, where she applies her extensive knowledge and unique perspective to further advance the field of user experience design.
